Expect continued snowfall until midnight

The Winter Weather Advisory for Anchorage was expected to end by 10 a.m. on Wednesday; however, snow continues to fall into the afternoon.

After Wednesday's snowstorm, Anchorage businesses said snowy days are welcome. Especially when a quarter, or even a third, of their yearly income comes from snow removal.

Authorities continue the search for a Newtok-area seal hunter who was reported missing just before noon on Monday.

Wednesday morning, people in Anchorage woke to several inches of snow. The conditions were bad enough for the Anchorage School District to cancel school and after school activities.
