UPDATE: Identity, details of the man involved in early morning Fairview police standoff

A man was taken into police custody Thursday morning after an hours-long standoff with Anchorage Police in Fairview.


At 11 a.m. on Thursday, representatives from the U.S. Attorney's Office, AST, ATF, DEA and FBI announced the filings of federal murder charges for John Pearl Smith II, 30, of Palmer.
