CORDOVA, Alaska -- A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Cordova has rescued three men stranded after their small plane reportedly flipped over while taking off from a beach on Montague Island.

Petty Officer 1st Class David Mosley says 27-year-old Dylan Honebriak of Anchorage had been flying the Piper Pacer when the accident happened Monday afternoon. Honebriak and his two passengers, his 48-year-old stepfather Ricardo Montoya, and his 18-year-old stepbrother Keith Montoya, were not injured. The Montoyas are from Soldotna.

Alaska State Troopers relayed a satellite phone call from the stranded men to the Coast Guard.
