ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A former Anchorage Police officer was found guilty Thursday of having child porn and sexually abusing a child.
A jury found Sammy Cohen guilty of 16 out of 21 counts against him.
Cohen was found not guilty of one child porn charge and one sexual abuse of a minor charge.
The jury could not come to an agreement on three other charges relating to sexual abuse of a minor.
During the trial, Cohen claimed he accidentally bought child porn at a garage sale and also accidentally touched a teen girl, but the jury didn't buy it.
"The time frame, everything pointed out of what was found, that they pointed out, the story presented, was not possible," said Ben Clayton, one of the jurors.
Cohen is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 5.
