Fallen Anchorage Marine to return Monday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The body of an Anchorage Marine killed in Afghanistan will be returning home this week.

Cpl. Gregory Fleury, 23, was killed in Afghanistan last month. His body is scheduled to return to Anchorage, where he grew up, at 3 p.m. Monday.

Fleury enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2005. He left for Afghanistan just a few months ago.

The funeral service for Fleury will take place Friday at the First Baptist Church in Anchorage. His final resting place will be at Fort Richardson.
