ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- You may not know his face, but you have likely seen and admired his work.
Channel 2's director of photography, Scott Jensen, is moving on.
If you've watched closely, you've seen him on TV. The Day Trippin' commercial is one of the rare moments viewers have seen Scott Jensen in front of a camera.
But it's his work behind the camera that has earned him the title "Mr. Moments."
Scott has a knack for making people feel comfortable very quickly.
They let their guard down and let the camera into their lives, capturing what he calls "the moment."
It's that little spark that lets the viewer care about this person and their story.
In fact, Scott is recognized as one of the best photojournalists in the country.
He has led the nation twice as the National Press Photographer Association's Photographer of the Year, reaching the top in his field, including the network guys.
While here at Channel 2 he has helped lead the photography staff to two NPPA Station of the Year awards for 2005 and 2007.
A local boy, Scott started his career right here at Channel 2. His career path took him to other stations and then back again for a second tour at Channel 2 four years ago.
Now it's time to say goodbye again to this restless artist as he heads to a new career challenge at Seattle's KING-TV.
The Channel 2 News team would like to wish Scottie the very best of luck as his career takes him away from Alaska, at least for the moment.
