JUNEAU, Alaska -- Tuesday may be Groundhog Day in the Lower 48 -- but in Alaska it's Marmot Day. A bill signed last year by Gov. Sarah Palin makes every Feb. 2 Marmot Day, honoring the native ground squirrel since there are few groundhogs in Alaska.
