ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- More than 700 girls were at the Girl Scouts of Alaska's Women of Science and Technology Day.
The girls went through a round of workshops Saturday to learn about everything from drilling oil to forensic science. More than 100 women working in the science and technology field talked about what they do for a living.
One Girl Scout says she and her friends are now finding science pretty interesting.
"They think it's fun, and some of them say they want to learn about science when they get older," said scout Mia Wilson.
Girl Scouts of Alaska serves 6,000 girls in Alaska.
