North Pole man arrested after running away from troopers

Anchorage, Alaska -  A North Pole man is in custody after leading Alaska State Troopers on a high-speed chase.

David Pasillas almost ran over troopers who were laying out spike strips on the Richardson Highway Saturday night. He told authorities he was afraid to stop because he had a bag of marijuana in his car.

Pasillas faces charges of felony eluding arrest, reckless driving and a misdemeanor drug charge.
