Anchorage, Alaska - Guns, cars and girls -- all made out of duct tape.
More than 2,500 rolls of the stuff are being used to decorate the eighth annual Duct Tape Ball, set for this Friday night at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown.
It's a black-tie event in which almost everything is made out of duct tape -- even the napkin rings.
Since November, volunteers have been unrolling roll after roll to create this year's theme.
"Every year, we change the theme and this year's theme is "Two 007-License to Tape," so it's a James Bond theme. Behind me, I've got a 1968 Austin Martin Roadster; we've got helicopters, dynamite, snowmobiles, Bond girls, all kinds of things that wrap into the theme this year," said ball volunteer Nance Larsen.
Money from the ball will be divided between the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Hospice of Anchorage and Safe Harbor Inn. All party-goers must wear the sticky stuff.
For more information about the Duct Tape Ball or to purchase tickets, call 646-8600. Attendance costs $100 per person or $1,000 per table. The ball begins at 6 p.m.
