ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The Denali Borough could double its landholdings if a plan being considered by the state gets the green light.
Under the plan the Alaska Department of Natural Resources would transfer nearly 25,000 acres of state-owned land to the borough for free.
A map of the proposed transfer shows the tracts of land largely located along the eastern boundary of Denali National Park and Preserve. Much of it sits just west of Healy.
