ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The state's website on Ballot Measure 4 is up and running again after some of the wording was changed.
The Alaska Public Offices Commission found the website to be misleading last week. APOC also ordered state officials not to publicly advocate against the measure after Gov. Sarah Palin voiced her opposition to it.
However, APOC rescinded that order last weekend over First Amendment concerns.
Palin on Monday appeared in an ad for the No on 4 campaign, but says she didn't know anything about it.
"I would always, I think, prefer to have a heads-up that something's coming, instead of opening the front page and seeing a big picture of my face there with words -- but they were my words," Palin said.
Ballot Measure 4 would prohibit new large mines from discharging toxins that could harm salmon or humans.
