Charlie realized after high school that his ability to talk far exceeded his athletic prowess and chose to pursue a career in sports broadcasting.
He graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks a few years ago and has been on air since 2005 in the Interior.
Charlie mixes sarcasm, pop culture and a dash of self-deprecating humor in his broadcasts. His goal is to get a chuckle or two out of viewers at home and on the Web while delivering the highlights and sports news of the day.
He made the move from Fairbanks to Anchorage in 2007 and joined the Channel 2 News team as a general assignment sports reporter and weekend Sports anchor.
