Ted Land

Ted Land

Ted Land joined the Channel 2 news team in July, 2008.

He grew up in a Chicago suburb and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a member of the Marching Illini, but made time for internships at NBC News, CNN, and WCIA 3 News.

After graduation, he spent a few weeks in China producing a documentary on the electronic waste industry, and its effect on rural populations. It was eventually picked up by a network and gained national airtime on public radio. The story earned a first place national SPJ award.

Prior to KTUU, Ted worked as a reporter/anchor in Reno, NV, and as a photojournalist in Chicago.

His hobbies include mountain biking, photography, playing the piano, and now learning guitar. He brought his skis up to Alaska and can't wait to hit the slopes this winter.

If you have any story ideas or comments, he'd love to hear from you. You can email Ted at TLand@ktuu.com.
