Alaska-Based Soldier Dies After Afghanistan IED attack

U.S. Army Alaska officials say Pfc. Vincent J. Ellis, 22, died Monday in Germany of injuries suffered from a Friday IED attack in Afghanistan's Khost province. Ellis served as a cavalry scout with the 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division.
