A new reality TV show is being planned featuring Army spouses in Alaska.

Stephanie Drackovitch, vice president of 44 Blue Productions, tells KUAC that “Army Wives of Alaska” will feature the spouses of soldiers who have deployed from Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks and Fort Richardson in Anchorage.

She plans to be in Alaska next week to begin casting the series, which will have six to 12 episodes.

Filming is slated to start in late winter and continue through June. The series will likely be shown late next year on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
