As part of the 15,000 wooded acres of the Pocomoke State Forest in Worcester County, Pocomoke River State Park offers visitors a wide array of outdoor activities. Famous for its loblolly pine and cypress swamps, visitors can admire a great variety of plant and animal life, including bald eagles, river otters, pink laurel and more than 50 species of fish. Guest can go hiking on one of the many trails, choose to spend some time fishing, flat water canoeing or even enjoying playgrounds and picnic areas. --Rachel Martin |
