Barnes, a fourth-round pick in 2007, posted a career-high three sacks in 11 regular-season games last year and was expected to back up starter <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT000008622" title="Terrell Suggs" href="/topic/sports/football/terrell-suggs-PESPT000008622.topic">Terrell Suggs</a>.
