As an actor: A natural comedian, Uecker turned his awful stats to his advantage with his self-deprecating sense of humor. Uecker was the father on the 1980s ABC sitcom "Mr. Belvedere." Uecker received praise for his role as radio play-by-play man Harry Doyle in the "Major League" movies.
