( August 25, 2011 ) Jerome Byers has been named regional president of consumer banking for Citibank's Central Region. He will implemen Citi's service and sales strategy for all branches from Illinois to Texas. He will also guide Citibank's DeNovo strategy in those markets. Byers comes to Citi from Wells Fargo, where he was Atlanta regional president, overseeing 200 banking locations and 5,000 team members. He played a key role in leading the Atlanta area through Wachovia's transition to Wells Fargo. |
