Burris has now acknowledged he sought to raise campaign funds for former Ill. Gov. Rod Blagojevich at the request of the governor's brother, at the same time Burris was making a pitch to be appointed to the U.S. Senate. Rod Blagojevich went on to appoint Burris to fill President Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat. |
