Richard Petrick was sentenced to 17 years in prison for forcing his way into his former girlfriend's house last year and holding Will County Sheriff's deputies at bay with a gun in the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO1001005012800000" title="Frankfort Square" href="/topic/us/illinois/will-county/frankfort-square-PLGEO1001005012800000.topic">Frankfort Square</a> area. Petrick was shot in the eye during the incident but survived to face felony aggravated stalking, home invasion and aggravated assault charges.
