In looking for ways to express how different the St. Pat's celebration at the Irish American Heritage Center is, we settled upon a phrase from the center's website: Children 12 and under are free. There will be a Mass at 11:30 a.m. A traditional celebration doesn't have to involve boozy howls, green Mardi Gras beads and green beer. It's family, food and traditional music.
