Caslon Hatch is the co-anchor/reporter for the Late Edition. She joined the Channel 2 News team in November 2012 as a Multimedia Journalist for the “Morning Edition.”

After more than a year of 2 a.m. wake up calls, she was promoted to Weekend Anchor in January 2014 while continuing to work as a Multi-Media Journalist and Reporter three days a week.

In July 2015 she made her way off weekends and on to the anchor desk full time co-anchoring the Late Edition with Mike Ross Monday through Fridays while also turning daily reports.

Caslon comes to Alaska from Des Moines, Iowa where she was born and raised. After studying Political Science at Iowa State University, she transferred to Columbia College in Chicago to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

During her time at Channel Two Caslon has covered a range of topics from wood bison to landslides and wildfires to the president's visit. But she says her favorite story to cover was probably the Capitol Christmas tree when she followed the spruce to the Chugach National Forest to its lighting ceremony in Washington D.C.

In her free time, you can find Caslon running and biking on one of Anchorage’s many trails or discovering new venues to eat around town.

Caslon says she is proud to call Alaska home and looks forward to learning more about all the rich traditions and great history the 49th state claims. She is incredibly proud to be a part of the team at Channel 2 and looks forward to telling Alaska's story one report at a time. So, if you have any story ideas for Caslon, please send them her way!
