Walmart pays woman after car is stolen during oil change

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Annabel Vasquez dropped her car off for an oil change at an Odessa Walmart back in March. According to police, someone distracted a cashier at the store, took Vasquez's keys from Walmart's custody and took off with her car.

Walmart is now cutting Vasquez a check for $6,500. The store has been covering the cost of a rental car for her since March.

Vasquez told affiliate KOSA CBS 7 that she's not in agreement with the final assessed amount. However, Vasquez doesn’t want to prolong the payment process since she needs her own vehicle.
