ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Anchorage Police say one shot was fired inside a Fred Meyer on the 7700 block of Debarr Road Thursday evening. The call came in just before 7 p.m.
Nora Morse, the deputy communications director for APD said that there was a disturbance between two groups inside the store and that one person shot at one group.
Morse said it is not clear what prompted the gunfire, and it is equally unclear as to if the shooter was specifically attempting to hit another person, or just firing the gun in a random direction.
Morse said no one was hurt and that the bullet was lodged in the wall of the bank inside the store.
Following the shooting, both groups left the store. No one has been arrested, and no description of the shooter is available, Morse said.
