UPDATE: APD cancels locate for 10-year-old special needs student

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Update - 3:45 p.m.:
Anchorage police are canceling the locate community alert for the missing 10-year-old.

According to APD spokesperson Renee Oistad, Dorian Osgood has been located "safe and sound."

Original Story - 3:33 p.m.:
The Anchorage Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing special needs student.

Dorian Osgood, 10, was last seen at Baxter Elementary, just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, according to APD spokesperson Renee Oistad.

"Efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful," she wrote in a community alert.

Oistad adds that Osgood has been know to hide, and "may be doing that now."

APD describes Osgood a 5-foot-tall, slender and has brown, shaggy hair. He was last seen wearing a jacket, which is black, red and blue, along with blue sweatpants. He may also have a blue hoodie.
