ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - It's an opportunity to get education, motivation and inspiration. This year's 4th Annual Alaska VegFest is this weekend. Speakers will be on hand to share how you can transform your own life by eating more plants. President of the Alaska Vegan Society, Delisa Renideo, has been vegan for 27 years. She said this weekend's event isn't just for those who are vegan or vegetarian, but for anyone wanting just a little bit more information.
"It really is up to us, but many people don't quite know how to do it," Renideo said. "And so this event will give us - give everybody - some information to get started. And also some next steps that they can take after Saturday is over, and make some new friends, and connect with some people, so that they'll realize that they don't have to be alone on this journey."
