ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - A Palmer man indicted on Thursday, for multiple charges related to child pornography, was arrested Monday, in Florida.

Alaska State Troopers said 30 year old Treyvon Johnson was contacted and arrested by Broward County Sherriff's Office, at a residence in Lauderhill, Florida.

According to AST, plans are underway for Johnson's extradition back to Alaska.

Johnson was indicted for 10 counts of distribution of child pornography, 10 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of evidence tampering.

Mat-Su Borough School District said Johnson was most recently working as a custodian at Colony High School.

Catherine Esary, a spokesperson for the district, said Johnson had been an employee for MSBSD for the past year and a half.

Johnson is not currently on active working status, as prompted by the indictment, according to Esary.

Brittany Dunlop, an assistant district attorney out of Palmer and prosecutor on the case, said while Johnson was charged by indictment, none of the images connected with the case appear to have been created by him.

In an e-mail Dunlop wrote, "Mr. Johnson is an Alaska resident, most recently working for Mat-Su Borough School District at Colony High School as a custodian, though none of the images charged appear to be child pornography created by Mr. Johnson. We also have not received any allegations of hands-on sexual offenses involving students."

Alaska State Troopers said the investigation started in January of this year.
