America's quest for gold in cross country skiing falls short

PYEONGCHANG (KTUU) Jessica Diggins placed 6th in the cross-country skiing finals ending America's quest for its first gold medal in that category.

Diggins finished with a time of 3:15.07.

Stina Nilsson snagged gold for Sweden with a time of 3:03.84

Alaska's two siblings Sadie and Erik Bjornsen fell short in the quarterfinals.

Sadie ranked third 2.46 seconds behind the leader.

Her brother, Erik Bjornsen, would come it at 5th in the men's sprint quarterfinals 1.63 seconds from the leader, Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo.

Klaebo would end up taking the gold for Sweden
