ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - A business in East Anchorage was burglarized, having several specialty tools stolen, and now police are asking for the public's help in locating the two men they believe are responsible for the crime.

In a community alert issued Wednesday, the Anchorage Police Department identified the suspects as 38-year-old Duane Kriger and 34-year-old Lukus Haines.

APD said the business, located on the 1000 block of Edward Street, had multiple tools taken on May 6, and "enough probable cause was developed" to pin the crime on Kriger and Haines.

Kriger has past convictions for theft and forgery, according to online court database. Haines only has minor charges on his record such as driving without a license and a 2001 DUI charge.

For the May 6 crimes, the two men face charges of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, but neither of the men have been located yet. APD hopes that Anchorage residents with knowledge of the suspects will contact them with information leading to their arrests.

Kriger is described as being 5'11" and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, while Haines is described as being 6'2" and 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police asked the public to call them with any information about where Kriger or Haines may be hiding. Tips can be made anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
