Copper River Kings fetch high prices in Seattle, scarce in Anchorage

SEATTLE, Washington (KTUU & KING) New season Copper River Kings are making a splash in Seattle.

The iconic Pike Place Fish Market reports that prices for filets have soared to $74.99 per pound, according to KING-TV.

Around Anchorage, there was similarly demand for Chinooks, 10th & M was selling a Copper River King for $59.95 per pound while at Copper River Seafoods it would cost you $119.98 for two pounds.

Other retailers around the city report having sold out of the highly-prized fish.
