Some users told the company they were unable to make calls from their wireless phones. The company says first reports came in at about 5:30 a.m.
A statement from the company at 11:22 a.m. said:
“At about 5:30am today GCI customers began experiencing service issues on their mobile devices. Service interruptions appear to be impacting both Android and iPhones. While it appears that service has been partially restored for some LTE customers, 4G LTE data, 4G LTE voice, 3G voice and voice-over-wifi services continue to be affected statewide. GCI technicians and engineers are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes for our customers.”
