ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Correction: APD previously listed the crime scene as within an apartment on 800-block of West 29th Avenue. But according to Anchorage court documents, the correct located is on West 29th Place.

Police say Anthony Aumua has admitted to shooting and killing the adult male inside a Spenard apartment.
Police say at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday a caller saw Aumua walk inside the ACF Church in Eagle River and admitted to the crime.
"People were already inside the church getting ready for service," said APD spokesperson MJ Thim. "Mr. Aumua walked in and started talking and said he shot someone. The person who was hearing this information went back and saw we put a person of interest alert and said that's the guy, called us, and said, 'Hey he's down here at the church.'"
APD says after evacuating the church, Aumua surrendered peacefully to officers. Police say he later admitted to the shooting, and faces multiple charges.

Anchorage police say they have found the person of interest sought in Wednesday's homicide, Anthony Aumua.
APD sent an alert out just after 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening, stating that Aumua has been located. The alert also thanked the public for their help with the search.
Anchorage police have named 34-year-old Anthony Aumua as a person of interest in the homicide investigation on W 29th Place early Wednesday morning.
Police say Aumua is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached by the public. If you see him you should call 911 immediately.

Aumua is described as 5’7” tall and 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
One man was found dead early Wednesday morning, after Anchorage police responded to a shooting incident on the 800 block of West 29th Place.
Police on scene say they got the initial call at 4:15 a.m., and found the adult male victim shot dead inside a residence in the area.
MJ Thim, a spokesperson for the Anchorage Police Department, said the man was found in the living room, and that multiple people inside the apartment witnessed the shooting.
As for who is being sought for this killing, that is not clear. Those witnesses at the scene were taken in by police for questioning.
"We do not have a suspect description at this time, due to the fact that there are conflicting statements from those witnesses," Thim said. "We do believe that it was a male, but we do not have a description yet."
According to authorities, it is unclear as to how many times the man was shot, but they did say that he was dead by the time they arrived.
Roads were closed in the area while police responded. Thim said that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
