FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers say a 32-year-old Fairbanks man had to be treated for frostbite following a car crash and foot chase with officers Saturday morning.
Jeffrey Baily is facing multiple charges after troopers say they were attempting to stop a vehicle for an equipment violation on Peger Rd.
AST wrote in a daily dispatch report that after the car slammed into a snowbank, Baily, the alleged driver of the vehicle took off running into a nearby neighborhood, "losing both his shoes in the process." Troopers said a home invasion in the same neighborhood had been reported to the Fairbanks Police Department around an hour later.
Baily was taken into custody after being treated at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for frostbite.
