ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - A minor fire was reported and, minutes later, extinguished by the Anchorage Fire Department, temporarily closing down traffic in the area.

According to AFD, the fire was reported on the 1100 block of Chugach Way. The building, an 8 unit residential building, or eightplex, was the same location where 36-year-old Tyshaun Gray was killed.

Ten AFD units responded to the fire, and extinguished it in minutes, AFD said..

Jodie Hettrick, deputy chief with AFD, said the fire was contained within a single room, and described the fire as "minor." The fire did not spread outside of the room or to the adjoining units.

No injuries were immediately reported. An AFD dispatcher said it is not known whether anyone was home at the time.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted during the response along Spenard Road, Arctic Boulevard, and Cope Street.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
