ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The University of Alaska Anchorage celebrated more than 1,200 undergraduates, graduate and professional school students.
Sunday afternoon the spring Class of 2018 graduates received their degrees from UAA. UAA Interim Chancellor Sam Gingerich said the university is tremendously proud of their graduates.
“Education is the foundation on which they will build their lives and careers and continue to make positive contributions to our city, state, nation and world," said Gingerich.
Chelsea Parrocha, a UAA graduate says the Honor College, her academic department and the multicultural center have been resources for her successes at the school.
"It has a very unique and very diverse student population, I really look forward to seeing how UAA will continue to grow after I leave," said Parrocha.
