ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) The National Transportation Safety Board is responding to two separate incidents reported within hours of each other Saturday afternoon.
According to Clint Johnson, the Alaska Region Chief for the NTSB, Alaska State Troopers and an NTSB investigator are on scene of a reported plane crash about 30 miles north of Anchorage near the mouth of the Yentna River.
Johnson said information on how many people may be on board the plane or if there are possible injuries was not available around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Johnson said the NTSB is also monitoring a second report of a crash possibly involving a float plane near Wasilla.
Preliminary findings indicate there are no injuries associated with that situation.
This is a developing story. More details will be released as they become available.
