Police are releasing more information about the homicide on Thursday. APD said in a message Friday morning that they initially got the emergency call from a 13-year-old girl, who told them her mother had been shot at the Trena Street home.

Police found a woman dead at the home with a gunshot wound, who they now identify as "Brandy." They say Dennis Sullivan, the brother of Brandy's husband, Adam Sullivan, called them shortly after.

In this call, Dennis said that Adam confessed to killing his wife, Brandy.

Officers located Adam Sullivan near the Lowe's hardware store on Old Seward and took him into custody.

Sullivan was arrested on a warrant for first degree murder and second degree murder. The detectives say they believe they have established probable cause.
