RESULTS: Wrist Carry

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - The 2017 Native Youth Olympics continued Thursday afternoon with the Wrist Carry, which traditionally tests the strength and endurance of hunters carrying their prey.

One athlete hooks his or her wrist around a wooded poll while two others carry the weight as far as possible, doing laps around the basketball court.

2.) Marle D (Mat-Su A) - 507' 11.5"

3.) Connor McCracken (Unalaska) - 489' 8.5"

4.) Simeon Tugatuk (SWRS) - 486' 11.5"

5.) Aaron Rose (Nome) - 436' 5.5"

GIRLS:

1.) Mia Weiss (Mat-Su A) - 463' 4.5"

2.) Kaye Gumera (Unalaska) - 410, 8.5"

3.) Lorraine Gregory (Anchorage A) - 348' 7.25"

4.) Jenni Klebesal (Mat-Su B) - 336' 4.25"
