UPDATE: missing Wasilla woman found safe, Silver Alert cancelled

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) Update The Wasilla Police Dept says a missing woman has been found. Wasilla P.D. investigator Dan Bennett said Tuesday afternoon that Betty Prada was found safe in Anchorage.

The Alaska Department of Public Safety and the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management issued a "Silver Alert" Monday evening for a missing woman in Wasilla who officials fear is endangered.

The Wasilla Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating 66-year old Betty Prada. She is described as white, 5' 6", 130lbs, blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen near the Parks Hwy and E Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.

In a post on Facebook, Wasilla P.D. said Prada was last seen at Wells Fargo in the Target mall at about noon, and that she has dementia.

Prada was last seen wearing a black coat and black pants carrying a black purse.
