Troopers: Snow machine driver dies after crash

ANCHORAGE,Alaska (KTUU) Alaska state troopers say an Emmonak man died after crashing his snow machine into a power pole off Airport Road Friday night.

According to the AST daily dispatch log, 49-year-old Raymond Waska Junior was taken to a hospital and CPR was performed, but he did not survive the injuries.

Waska was not wearing a helmet at the time and alcohol is believed to have played a part in the deadly wreck, troopers wrote.

An autopsy will be performed on Waska at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
