UAA hangs on, advances to regional championship in NCAA tournament

AZUSA, CA (KTUU) It wouldn't be March Madness if basketball games didn't leave you hanging on the edge of your seat.

UAA women's basketball overcame another down to the wire game against Humboldt State Saturday night, winning 81 to 73.

The Seawolves advance to the regional championship for the second time in three seasons.

Shelby Cloninger had a clutch basket in the final minute of the game and the Seawolves rained free throws til time ran out to get the win.

UAA will be playing GNAC foe Montana State Billings on Monday in the championship.
