Wasilla woman killed in New Year's Eve snowmachine crash

DELTA JUNCTION, Alaska (KTUU) - A Wasilla woman was killed some time shortly before midnight on New Years Eve after the snow machine she was driving went out of control and struck a tree.

In a dispatch report issued by the Alaska State Troopers, they say they received a call stating an accident had happened on Volkmar Lake, north of Delta Junction.

Breanna Klann, 30, had been driving a snow machine near a cabin when she lost control of the vehicle and it plowed into a tree, killing her.

According to the report, people on scene took "critical care steps" to save Klann's life, however they could not revive her.

Troopers say that her family has been notified, and that the investigation is ongoing.
