ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Anchorage voters are receiving address verification cards in the mail ahead of the city's first election by mail.
The Municipal clerk's office says 208,000 registered voters in Anchorage should receive the postcard by the end of this week.
Ballot materials will be mailed to the city's registered voters 21 days before the April 3, 2018 election day.
Even with the earlier mailing deadline, voters may still update their voter registration information until the normal deadline, of March 3.
This is also the first year that Alaskans can update their voter registration through their PFD application, but since the PFD deadline is March 31, procrastinating filers who want to update their information to vote in Anchorage may want to beat that deadline.
