ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Two former Seawolf hockey players will compete in next month’s Olympics after defenseman Luka Vidmar was named to the Slovenian team.
Vidmar will join former UAA teammate Mat Robinson in South Korea. Robinson is a member of the Canadian team.
Vida currently plays professional hockey in Hungary after spending some time in the ECHL and AHL since his days with the Seawolves. His senior year with the Seawolves was 2010-2011. The 6-foot-1 Defenseman played four seasons and 114 games for Alaska Anchorage from 2007-2011.
