Mary Pettersen, director, Chicago office, Burson-Marsteller

Mary Pettersen has been hired as a director at Burson-Marsteller's Chicago office, the public relations and communications firm announced Wednesday. Pettersen's experience includes 15 years of work in the public relations industry, providing strategic communications counsel to companies. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication-journalism from Illinois State University with minors in Spanish and political science. Pettersen is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
