No flag at Fort Monroe

( Sangjib Min / March 28, 2012 ) Since the Army decommissioned Fort Monroe, a flag has not been flying on the tall pole on the south side of the stone fort. Complications with the Army, national park service and state over how the land will be transferred is causing issues with replacing the flag. Debate over who will pay for the flag is also mucking up discussion. |
