In Sandy Bottom, teams collect sand from the river and transport it to a brick maker. Once they filled the jug with enough sand then they can proceed to the next clue.
In Fruity Top, racers prepare a religious offering from an example. After getting approval, they must send it off to a priest and he will bless it and give them the next clue.
Most teams chose Fruity Tops. The rednecks describe their choice as we “put it together like our deer heads.” That is countray folks!
Pam builds sets for a living so she knew to zero-in on the base as it is the bone of the structure. They build with delicacy while others build the shrine by sloppily poking sticks in the fruit. You can tell which one came from the Asians as they are the first team to get approval and advance to the priest. However, Dave and Connor are hot on their heels.
Pam and Winnie are first and they drive to Uluwatu beach for their next clue.
Roadblock!
One person has to find a surfboard with a image of something they have come across earlier in the race. The answer is a picture of a Tahitian man who greeted them 2 episodes ago at the Pit Stop. Winnie is killing this challenge and picks up the right surfboard, but, she accidentally helps Connor find the right surfboard. She got lost (SHOCKER) finding Phil and Dave and Connor arrive first to the Pit stop again. This time they won 5 grand. The Asians are not happy.
John and Jessica are off to the Detour to do the Fruity Top but they enter the wrong place. They enter into a random guy’s backyard. He is working on small crafts so they proceed to help him make small crafts not knowing they are in the wrong place. This guy who does not speak English is shocked by these crazy Americans and lets them work on his crafts. Imagine if you are in your backyard and a bunch of foreigners and a camera crew helps make your Tie-Dye shirts. Crazy? Right! I was dying of laughter because it is so awkward.
The Californians did find the right place and started to work on their religious offering. John is anal retentive so he took charge building this one. FAIL. Time after time their offering gets turned down. They have no idea how to fix it. They think about using their Express Pass but decide to go off to the other Detour.
