This episode has got to be the worst for Sherri, the franchisee owner. But, we will get to that later.
Night 7 on the Gota tribe, Eddie and Sherri have a heated fight.
"Did you not say you wanted the strongest around"
"Yes, I said that... YES! I said that"
Reynold adds in with the fight that he doesn't want to be associated with the tribe. Eddie adds with, "Wait until you vote out me and Reynold and you see how many challenges you win." Without missing a beat, Michael lashes with, "We are not winning with you guys." I died laughing because that was pure #TRUTH. Its funny when strong men complain that they are going to get voted out but they can prevent this by actually winning a challenge.
Th next day on Bikal, Phillip decides to give the other non-Stealth-R-US members names. This makes Andrea mad. Brandon is "the conqueror." Erik is the "silent one" and Brenda is "serenity." Phillip is makes everyone feel that they are special and in the alliance. Well, expect for the actual core members since he is dilluding the special bond they shared over code names.
Reward Challenge.
Each tribe will select two members who will be placed on two platforms. The rest of the tribe will hold mini-planks to transfer the two people to the third platform. Once the tribe gets to the platform, they must climb up and everyone must fit on top of the small ledge.
Go!
The fans and faves are neck in neck as Brenda and Julia travel on the planks. Brenda takes bigger gaps and it pays off. Andrea and Brenda are making good work with their coordination. Laura and Julia take a long time becuase their balance is shaky. Favess have a good lead but its not a done deal. Both tribes try to get all of their members on the platform. Shamar decided to crawl in a ball to let his tribe cover him. Is that a good strategy? Nope, Favorites win; a local will help their tribe learn how to survive. After Jeff declares them winners, Shamar screams and pounds his chest, "thats what I am talking about!" He thinks his tribe won. #Awkward
The local comes in and he is a small Golum-looking fellow. He is 4 feet tall and 60 years old. This man teaches the faves how to cook rice through bamboo. He prepares them a feast using bamboo as the pot #genius.
Right when Gota got back to camp, Shamar lays right in the shelter. He gives the tribe an ultimatum He won't quit unless they will give.. no BRING him a bowl of rice once a day. Yeah, the tribe is salty after that comment. Sherri submits to his needs as he eats his rice in the shelter laying down.
Well KARMA is a B! a piece of sand gets into his eye and he scratches his eyeball while trying to get it out.
The next morning, the camera footage is in Sepia. I am just waiting for Justin Timberlake to pop out with his song 'Suit and Tie." (If you don't get my reference then check out his Grammy performance on YouTube)
Shamar is moping around. Medic comes to inspect Shamar's eye. They diagnose that he needs to be removed from the game or his vision will be lost. His tribe couldn't care less. This has got to be the least emotional medi-vac on Survivor. Even with the villain Colton, his tribe-mates were crying. Jeff did say Shamar was the "biggest cheerleader" for the tribe. Jeff is delusional.
Sherri lost an ally.
Immunity Challenge
5 people will swim out to a platform to smash a tile and retrieve a key. Once all 5 keys are back on the shore, those keys will open a chest and the sandbags inside will be used to knock off pegs on a ledge roughly 20 meters away.
First up are Sherri vs. Erik. Erik leaves her in the dust. She missed the tile to release the key in her first attempt and she ate up a lot of time. The faves have a huge lead. In fact they have lapped them by one person. Special Agent Phillip and Cochran are the throwers on the last leg. Phillip takes off 40% of the pegs before the fans can get to this last station. A little too late as Phillip knocks over the last peg to secure the tribe's safety.
The fans tribe is miserable. The fact that they have to lose two people in one day, sucks. Matt pulls Michael aside and pleas with him to crumble the alliance to vote out Laura. The tribe needs to keep the tribe strong. Matt goes to Reynold with the plan but Reynold is not buying it. He is skeptical because he thinks that they are going to vote him out tonight without him playing his idol.
Laura notices that everyone is talking. She is worried about the vote tonight. Matt informs Sherri of the plan and she tries to put the brakes on it. Will it work? is it a little too late? Sherri goes to Julia about the guy's plan. Sherri is worried about all the talk about "voting out the weak" will eventually be the crux to her game. When the 4 guys come together, they will see the girls as the weaklings of the tribe. Sherri is going from a safe place in the game to the outs because she is weak because she is a women.
At tribal council, Reynold says the pretty alliance could have gelled with the majority if they voted out Shamar first. Laura pleads her case into keeping her around by saying they need to keep people you trust. Reynold responds to that by saying it wouldn't matter about trust if they keep going to Tribal. So the vote tonight is going to be Loyalty vs. Strength. Eddie says tonight's vote is the make or break factor of the fans tribe. Reynold plays his idol, well I should say waste as Laura was unanimously voted out. The fans chose to keep strength.
This has been a bad day for Sherri. She lost her two closest allies and she is on the bottom of the totem pole. It is a shame because she is an excellent player. I hope she can rebound with a tribe switch. Her days are unfortunately numbered.
